The Pedagogic Potential of Craftwork

This course is for those who want to expand their understanding of therapeutic crafts and their contributions to human development, along with their inter-relationship to the other fields of practice.

It is open to all staff but especially recommended for craft tutors, Education Health and Care managers and those engaged with the Practical Skills Therapeutic Education experience for RMT students. It will develop and further explore your use of craftwork as a pedagogic tool to support student behaviours, and facilitate educational and personal development for learners.

This course is one year taught study, and one year independent study to complete a project.

At the end of this course

Participants will be required to offer a short presentation on an area of interest from the course and how it may have developed their professional practice.
