Teaching in Specialist Steiner Garden Schools

The purpose of the Teaching in Specialist Steiner Garden Schools (TSSGS) development programme is to grow self-leadership capacity as educators through exploring:

  • Which of Rudolf Steiner’s insights relate to the Seven Fields of Practice of Ruskin Mill Trust’s Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) for Specialist Steiner Garden Schools

  • How we apply understanding of these insights

  • Why we do this as an organisation, and as individuals in our role

Ruskin Mill Trust’s method, Practical Skills Therapeutic Education, underpinned by the Seven Fields of Practice, is interwoven with Steiner’s insights. Our work in each of the TSSGS sessions teases out the threads of his insights and explores how the seven fields are interconnected. This unique course is positioned within Therapeutic Education, Field 4 of Ruskin Mill Trust’s Seven Fields of Practice. It offers participants practical opportunities to understand the principles behind our inclusive teaching and learning in RMT specialist Steiner Garden Schools.

The aim of the programme is to equip educators with the tools and confidence to apply Rudolf Steiner’s insights through RMT's method. Educators are invited to work together in deepening their educational understanding and professional practice by engaging in intensive subject-focused sessions delivered by specialist tutors from across the Trust.
