A talk taking place in the Field Centre lecture room

MEd in Practical Skills Therapeutic Education with the Ruskin Mill Centre for Practice (RMCP). To start in 2021 and open to both staff and external applicants.

This is an exciting new strategic development for Ruskin Mill. We are in the process of registering, with the Office for Students, the Ruskin Mill Centre for Practice which will apply to gain Taught Degree Awarding Powers. Once completed, we will offer our own validated degree, the MEd in Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE).

We are at an advanced stage in the application and design of the degree. The MEd will critically explore and examine the function and impact of the Seven Fields of Practice. It will be a taught course of conventional structure (part-time over three years), aligned with the UK Framework for Higher Education Qualifications: 180 credits at Level 7, six 20-credit taught modules and a 60-credit dissertation or research and practice project.

This development will enhance and retain our leading edge method for the future and secure its authenticity and integrity, ensuring our students receive innovative research-enhanced practice.
