Steiner on Meditation
June 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm£5
Evening Seminar by Simon Reakes, Research Publications Manager at the Field Centre, Ruskin Mill
Between 1904 and 1924 Rudolf Steiner was actively engaged in giving meditation instructions as well as concentration and contemplative exercises. These instructions and exercises were given in various contexts: published monographs; in lessons to members of esoteric schools of both the Theosophical Society (1904 – 1912) and the Anthroposophical Society (1913 – 1924); and also in consultation to individuals upon request. Since Steiner’s meditation teachings span more that two decades and were given in these contexts anthroposophical meditation can be taken as an umbrella term. This evening will be an exploration of Steiner on meditation.
A donation of £5 per person is suggested, payable on the night. Staff attendance is free.
